The Cthulhu Dark Arts Tarot (also marketed as "Tarot Lovecraft") by Maxime Le Dain and illustration duo Førtifem translates H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos into a complete 78-card tarot with 22 major and 56 minor arcana. Le Dain, himself a long-time Lovecraft translator, devised the symbolism for every card and wrote the framing story around the fictional art historian Isaac S. Jefferson, who presents the deck as a supposedly ancient, "original" tarot. Førtifem – known for their artwork in the metal music scene – first drew all the illustrations by hand before coloring them digitally. At 85 x 165 mm, the cards are notably larger than a classic tarot, echoing the format of the historical Visconti-Sforza tarot. A 32-page booklet provides an introduction to the card meanings.
