Ardo Quaranta

Ardo Quaranta is an Italian artist and architect from the area around Pesaro and Fano. His work moves between drawing, graphic design, calligraphy, symbolism and illustrated objects. Under the name "Ardoq" he has illustrated more than 20 children's books and exhibited on themes including witches. His background in architecture shapes the way he works: he sees an image not as an isolated illustration but as part of a larger structure of proportions, geometry, signs and materials. In 2025 he founded CalamoVe, a small label for collectible playing cards and tarot decks. His first Kickstarter project, the playing card deck "Divinissimi Assi", was funded in less than 48 hours in 2025. "Strigarum Arcana", his first tarot, followed after five years of work.
