folklore

Prshak is a 32-card deck for the classic Czech card games: Prší (a game similar to Crazy Eights), Mariáš, Ferbl, Zelená louka and more. The rules stay the same, only the cards are new: original illustrations inspired by medieval manuscripts, heraldry and alchemical texts, with motifs such as the lion and the basilisk.

Prshak comes in two variants. "Středověk" (Middle Ages) shows heraldic figures in the style of medieval woodcuts. "Slovanské potvory" (Slavic creatures) features beings from Slavic folk tales such as the Polednice, Baba Yaga, Vodník, Čert and Striga. Both variants have single-headed cards on 350 gsm card stock and come in a linen pouch instead of a box.
